21 June, 2006 - Wellington, New Zealand: The Honourable Prime Minister, Helen Clark formally opened the launch of Convergence's operations in Wellington recently. The Prime Minister welcomed Convergence to the capital and outlined the importance the ICT (Information Communications Technology) sector plays in the country's economy today.

The Prime Minister referred to Convergence's success of being selected as strategic partner by New Zealand Police, the largest Lotus Notes site in the country and that this is a significant endorsement by a very complex organisation, which places extremely high demands on its IT environment.

Ms Clark also referred to financial support the government had provided to Convergence for the execution of an extensive US market entry research study for its associated company Ability Software Ltd., which was carried out in conjunction with New Zealand Trade & Enterprise and UCLA Anderson School of Management in Los Angeles..

The Prime Minister went on to congratulate Convergence on its expansion into the capital and wished the company well.
