Our hearts and prayers go out to the people affected by the earthquake in Christchurch and also those affected by the devastating events in Japan.
It is still hard to comprehend the damage these natural disasters have caused in just the blinking of an eye. Words can not describe the emotions one traverses when seeing the suffering of the many people who have lost their homes, their possessions and in many cases their loved ones. Unbelievable.
As unbelievable as this seems, it is also a stark reminder of how fickle our lives and livelihoods are. We work in businesses, which can be wiped out from one moment to the next. We live in dwellings that can be pulled down within seconds and we are dependent upon a complex infrastructure that provides us with the food, fuel and information we need to survive. All the more important it is to be prepared. [more]

CRM - the way it’s meant to be
For nearly 15 years, we have been operating internal CRM functionality in some way, shape or form within Convergence. The benefits of proper Customer Relationship Management have been well understood for many years and organisations harnessing this technology are pulling away from their competition – deal by deal. And further still, why is CRM frequently still an ‘island’ of information with little or no integration to financial accounts, email and documents? Well, as you would expect there are many horses for the many courses out there. One theme that does seems to prevail, however, is “does it support the way we actually work?” or “does it force us to work in a different way entirely?” If you are a small to medium business, this one may just be what you have been looking for. Introducing CapsuleCRM. [more]

Convergence and Zeald.com partnership delivers results
In 2010, we updated our own website and selected Zeald.com not only as the provider of the website and content management system [CMS], but also the on-going hosting partner for the site. From this a strong partnership has now developed.
When it comes to the integration of Zeald.com’s powerful eBusiness websites with clients’ internal accounting, inventory or ERP [enterprise resource planning] systems more than 30 Zeald.com E-Business Consultants across New Zealand now call on Convergence to make it happen. Check out the case study for the integration job we implemented for Bearing & Engineering Supplies Ltd. in Nelson. [more]
